[xpl009] - Monade - Pt#9

Monade is Roberto Donato hailing from Torino, Italy and thus our first non belgian X-ist. Starting with a noisy and high squeaking intro guiding you to a pool of idm-ish ambient scapes, truly inspired by the Golden Era experiments but with a 21st century flavour, Monade feels like a bridge between moulded memories and future dreams. When he mailed us his tracks we loved his subtle no-nonsense approach on exciting our geniculate ganglions so here we are again: [xpl009], simply called: pt#9, by Monade.
We do hope you enjoy, free download as usual but a little donation, tweet, share or blog review are highly appreciated released 15 May 2012

[xpl008] - Olkin Donder - Oben Glex

A while ago we sent out Olkin Donder to the ∆-b850411 sublayer on an expedition in order to capture rare recordings of what we understood to be some kind of inter-dimensional birth gathering. He disguised himself as a Thompson-like humanoid gonzo-recorder and together with his own inseparable visual sidekick Han Leese they became our personal representing creative ganglions out (or in) there.
Some months, days, minutes or whatever later they returned to our anticipating midst with this 43 min poetic sci-fi fairy tale … Yet, another Xtraplex debut release was oozed…

[xpl007] - Sluggart - Languish

Coming from Leuven, this young talented film student creates emotional beats to nod your head to. We came across his sound when he invited Olkin Donder to play a set at his birthday party, at which he performed a little liveset himself. Hearing his personal yet very accessible future beat like idm sound we became very interested in releasing his debut. We were glad when he spontaneously asked himself if he could release on Xtraplex.
Morphic resonance seemed a fact so here we are, releasing yet another superb intro to the world. Again we drop it for free, but a donation, tweet or share would be highly appreciated. Available here:

[xpl006] - Ynoji - NIÑA

After a small ten months of x-istence we have reached our sixth release already. We have stumbled upon a rare semi artificial organism crawling his way up onto the soundcloud. Ynoji is a ‘collective’ zooming around the beginning bedroom wizard Lucian Ditulescu who got inspired three years ago by a live set of our S’kp to jump into the fruity-vortex and start oozing wonders. He produces hyper driven tortured mechanic emotions from an unknown A.I. trying to mimic organic feelings. Ynoji is beyond any genre or style, he is pure sound and the energy it produces.
Enough dream-talk; letz listen that shit, it is available for free, but a little donation, a share or a tweet are highly appreciated:

[xpl004] - Kingstux - Flex Nebulae

Finaly we reach the outer Flex Nebulae, discovered almost a year ago by our very own frequency researcher Kingstux, who managed to record its communication. We are hereby most proud to present to you a very divers story told in the universal language of electronica. From glitchy subscape organisms and emotional tender tronix to some danceable dub oriented idm and vocal based granular wonders Kingstux delivers Xtraplex Records his debut album. After releasing his preview ep ‘Watch the Stars’ at Planet Terror Records in 2009 he decided to stay loyal to them and release ‘Geeks and Parasites’, a sister release of the Flex Nebulae story, available for free aswell.

[xpl001] - V.A. - Sounds For The Geniculate Ganglion

Quelle joyfull almost-spring day, a bursting sun after an amazing full moon.
The kind of sunday normal people would take a nice family walk in the park, with the dog and some picknick.
No no no, ‘Perfect intermezzo for a newborn electronic music label’ we thought, after five years of preparation.
Time is now to give birth to a chokepoint of creative morphic resonances from electronic audio waveform engineers with a strange oder. Not?
The youngster will be known by the name ‘Xtraplex’ as in an extra plexus, an extra burning flame of creative power and a reference to ‘oldskool’ hero labels like Metroplex & Rephlex.

So here we are, releasing our first, humble, digital introduction to the world:

V.A. Sounds for the Geniculate Ganglion [xpl001]

and for the occasion of this label kick off resident concept artist Han Leese did an effort in grasping the situation in some colourfull words:

‘krrrrrsch’ ,
said an oscillator in the dark,
frustrated by his automated existance,
‘krrrrsch again, and ploink frrrt bzzzzz,
for there i dont give a fuck’,
‘bwwwwaaaaaaapwapwap,
cuz iam no more than what you tell me to be’ ,
‘And mhhhhmmmmaaaaaaah, because i am unstable
although my mind is fueled with electricity,
therefor i cover-up the whole with melting melody’

featuring:

Kingstux, S’kp, Olkin Donder, Cyan Sun, Genomiks and Etherik.

Total dream time: 36 min

Digital package available on various resellers on the net, including:
